K-Pop Beats and Academic Feats: CTE Graduate School Socialization and Orientation

 


Zamboanga City, Philippines – March 2, 2024 – College of Teacher Education Graduate school hosted its annual orientation and socialization at Palacio del Sur in Marcian Garden Hotel, bringing together graduate students from Master to Doctorate degree programs. This year’s theme, “Navigating Academic Challenges Through Interdisciplinary Collaboration,” resonated throughout the event, highlighting the importance of cooperation in overcoming educational hurdles.

As the party unfolded, participants embraced the lively K-pop theme, showcasing their creative interpretations of the vibrant Korean pop-culture. The atmosphere was electric, amplified by a dance competition that celebrated both Filipino and K-pop culture. The Master of Arts in Special Education snatched the spotlight as they victoriously reigned as the champion in the competition.

Moreover, the event was graced by distinguished guests, including University President Ma. Carla A. Ochotorena, who delivered an inspiring message to the graduate students and university community. Her words, along with the presence of other esteemed officials and professors, emphasized the importance of collaboration and unity in fostering a thriving academic environment within the graduate school. Their support reinforced the event's core message, highlighting the power of collective effort in overcoming academic challenges.

Dr. Arnel Madrazo, the Chairperson of the Graduate School, introduced The Chronicle, the official publication of the CTE graduate school in a form of journal. This initiative aims to provide a platform for students and faculty to share academic achievements, research findings, and innovative ideas, fostering a culture of scholarship and interdisciplinary dialogue.

The Graduate School Socialization 2024 successfully blended academic discussions with cultural celebration, encouraging students to forge connections that will support them throughout their educational journey.
