The Early Childhood Education (ECE) graduate

Ms.
Marisol Lim, Club President, gave an opening remark emphasizing that educators
should provide opportunities to enhance children's talents and that
encouragement is essential both at home and in school. Ms. Raiza Sahaji,
president of MAED ECSD, delivered the program's guidelines. Selected ECE
students presented various intermission numbers and a short skit about the
Crooked Mouth Family. Furthermore, pre-service teachers organized games and
giveaways of goodies for the children. One of the highlights of the festival
was creative storytelling led by Ms. Klare Ivan Congreso, a student from
MAED-ECSD. Her enchanting narration of a classic bedtime story was a great
avenue to nurture child growth, enriching their minds and hearts while
fostering a lifelong love of literature. The afternoon session shifted gears to
a more academic focus with a seminar on the importance of play in early
childhood learning. Dr. May-Ridel P. Pasamata introduced Mr. Edsh Radgedolf S.
Rosales. Guest speaker Mr. Rosales emphasized the value of play in fostering
development and delivered an interactive presentation that not only explained
various types of play but also engaged the graduate students in hands-on
activities.
“The
ECE Feast ‘23 is a vital occasion for educators to reflect, advocate, and
enrich their practices in support of children’s development and well-being.
This is a great avenue to embrace inclusivity for all children and enhance
their learning journey,” said
by Dr. May-Ridel P. Pasamata, ECE Circle Club Adviser.
As the day came to a close, the ECE Fest ’23 was a resounding success. It offered a unique blend of entertainment, educational insights, and heartfelt moments that celebrated the essence of childhood.
